There’s no better way to capture a taste of Castle Rock then by stopping at one of the local farmer’s markets. Where else can you enjoy fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, produce and more from area farmers?
Yesterday we had the chance to catch up with a few of the farmers.
Phil Brethower is a local Castle Rock resident and Owner of Tri-State Hurdo Farms. His featured items were Kale, Butter Lettuce, Great Leaf, Butter Heads, and Basil all which ranged in price from $2 to $6.
Phil mentioned one of the only ways you can buy his crop is to drop by a farmer’s market or taste it in a local restaurant.
Some of the other more notable participants include Styria Bakery, Anderson Meat and more.
We’re working on adding an events calendar on CRJ but in the meantime, be sure to drop by CRgov.com for more up & coming events.
